The Israeli soprano, Hadas Faran-Asia, is a graduate of the Buchman-Mehta School of Music in Tel Aviv where she was a student of Efrat Ben-Nun. She is a winner of The America-Israel Cultural Foundation 2007-2008. In June 2005 she participated in the Europa Cantat Festival in Barcelona, Spain, as a voice and movement teacher; in October she participated in the Toronto Bach Festival as a Moran Singers Ensemble soloist, under the baton of Maestro Helmuth Rilling.
Hadas Faran is a member of the Moran Singers Ensemble for the last 10 years, directed by Naomi Faran. She has participated in several productions of the School of Music including: Dido and Aeneas, Elijah, Orfeo and Euridice, Hänsel und Gretel and in concerts of the subscribers series.
Hadas Faran performed with leading roles in Dido and Aeneas as Dido, Jephte as Fillia, Dixit Dominus (George Frideric Handel), Cantatas BWV 106 and BWV 4 (J.S. Bach), Stabat Mater (Giovanni Battista Pergolesi), Magnificat and Credo (Antonio Vivaldi), Missa Brevis and Coronation Mass (W.A. Mozart), Mass in G (Schubert), King David's Lyre (Yehezkel Brown), The Happy Prince (Gil Shohat). She is a member of the Israeli Bach Soloists since its foundation in 2008. |
