The Austrian soprano, Johanna Rosa Falkinger, obtained her Bachelor of Music degree in Voice and Voice Pedagogy (singing teacher Christa Ratzenböck; Minor studies in Piano and Choir-conducting) from the Anton Bruckner Privatuniversität in Linz (2014-2019). Currently she studies in the Master programme in early music singing (singing teacher Roberta Invernizzi) at the at MUK - Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität der Stadt Wien (since October 2019); and Master programme in Voice Pedagogy (singing teacher Tanya Aspelmeier) at the MDW - Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien (since 2020); and at The Sibelius Academy of University of the Arts Helsinki. In 2021, she she achieved the 2nd Prize at Concours Corneille (Internation Baroque Singing Competition in Rouen (France) hosted by Le Poeme Harmonique and Vincent Dumestre) (2021), and the WDR Prize with ensemble freymut at the int. H.I.F. Biber Competition in St. Florian (Austria). In 2022, she won 1st Prize and Audience Prize at Schmelzer competition in Melk (Austria) and the 1st Prize and the orchestras price at Aria Borealis early music singing competition in Bodø (Norway).
Johanna Rosa Falkinger is a versatile singer who is constantly looking for new challenges and cooperations with different genres and people, while touring around Europe as much as possible.
