The German soprano, Leonore von Falkenhausen, studied singing with Ingeborg Most in Freiburg and Margreet Honig in Amsterdam.
Leonore von Falkenhausen numerous concert performances in her homeland and abroad (including Spain, France, Italy, Belgium, Poland and Yugoslavia), and engagements with various important festivals are only one side of her singing activities, because she is also interested in opera. Thus she sang the title role in Die Kluge by Orff under Kurt Masur with the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig and Zaide by Mozart at the Musikfest Bremen under Thomas Hengelbrock with the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen. Further engagements have led her to Berliner Staatsoper Unter den Linden, to the Bachtagen in Berlin, as well as to the Ludwigsburg and Schwetzing Festivals. As a Mozart singer in the roles of Konstanze and Donna Anna she celebrated great successes at the Opera Festival Alden Biesen in Belgium and in the Concertgebouw Amsterdam. Her interpretation of Aribert Reimann’s Oder soll es Tod in the opening concert of this year (1993) Klassik Sommer Hamm was received with big applause.
Leonore von Falkenhausen has participated in numerous broadcast and CD productions. |
