The German soprano, Anna-Lena Elbert, started singing in 2009, studying with Tanja d'Althann at the städt. Sing-und Musikschule München. In 2013 she won 1st Prize at the competition "Jugend Musiziert" in the category Singing Duo with the highest possible score, at the same time winning fellowships from the "Walter und Charlotte Hammel-Stiftung" and the "Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben".
In 2014 Anna-Lena Elbert started studying at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich with Professor Frieder Lang. After receiving her Bachelor of Music degree in 2018, she started her Masters in Liedgestaltung with Professor Julian Prégardien as well as in the Lied classes of Professor Donald Sulzen and Professor Fritz Schwinghammer. At the University, she performed as Lucia in Benjamin Britten's The rape of Lucretia, Pamina and Queen of the night in W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte, Adina in Donizetti's L’Elisird’amore, Adele in Strauss' Die Feldermaus and Rosina in Rossini's Il barbiere di Sevilla.
Anna-Lena Elbert is an awardee at the Richard Strauss Competition 2019 which led to her being invited to sing at the Richard Strauss Festival 2019. In August 2019, she made her debuts at the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival and the Rheingau Festival. In September 2019 she won 2nd Prize at the International Helmut Deutsch Liedwettbeweb and in the 2019-2020 season she made her debut at the Bayerische Staatsoper by performing the main role in a children's Opera by Gordon Kampe (debut performance). |
