The German soprano and choral conductor, Katharina Eberl, first studied at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold: church music in the class of Professor Gerhard Weinberger and singing with Professor Gerhild Romberger. She is currently completing her studies in choral conducting with Professor Denis Rouger at the Staatlichen Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart.
Even before she began her studies, Katharina Eberl sang in the Bayerischen Landesjugendchor and in Deutschen Jugendkammerchor. As a soprano, she can already boast a lot of concerts in Germany and abroad. She sings in ensembles such as the Deutschen Kammerchor, Kammerchor Stuttgart (Director: Frieder Bernius), Rastatter Vocalensemble (Director: Holger Speck) and ChorWerk Ruhr (Director: Florian Helgath), where she worked with conductors such as Peter Dijkstra, Mariss Jansons and Jukka-Pekka Saraste.
As a choir director Katharina Eberl took over at the beginning of the 2016-2017 season for a few months, the representation of the choir director at the Landestheater Coburg and is since November 2016 the Artistic Director of the Waiblinger Vocalensemble. She currently lives in Landshut. |
