The Hungarian soprano, Nóra Ducza, graduated from the Zoltán Kodály Hungarian Choir School, where Ilonka Adorján was her voice teacher, and then later continued her vocal studies as a private student of Zsolt Bende. She studied at the Bartók Béla Music Conservatory in the solo voice department, and then later at the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music's Pedagogical Institute. Between 2004 and 2006, she studied acting, speech technique and stage movement at the Új (New) Theatre's Studio. Starting in 2005, she continued her studies in solo voice as a student of Mária Temesi at the University of Szeged's Faculty of Arts. After earning her diploma (2007), she won admittance to the Richard Strauss Konservatorium in Munich, where she received post-graduate training in opera under Krisztina Láki and in the Lieder Department under Donald Sulzen (2008). Hera teachers have also included: Ildikó Lengyel, Ilona Adorján, Zsolt Bende, Kornélia Lorenz, Brigitta Kovács, Zsuzsanna Forrai, Dr. Mária Temesi, Krisztina Láki, Katalin Schultz (since 2011). She has participated in master-classes with numerous artists, including courses led by Walter C. Moore, György Vashegyi, Júlia Hamari, Yevgeny Nesterenko, Sylvia Sass, Adrienne Csengery, Éva Marton and Ionel Pantea. She has reached the finals, and also placed, in numerous competitions, including: Singing Competition for “Magyar Song”, Budapest: 2nd place (2003); Mária Gyurkovics Memorial Competition: 3rd place and the special prize from Vienna's Collegium Hungaricum (2003); József Simándy Singing Competition: 2nd place (2004); Second International Oratorio Competition: Zoltán Kodály Special Prize (2007). She has also won several scholarships over the years, including: Sidney Leon Scholarship, London (2002); The Rotary Club Sopron-Pannónia's scholarship (2006-2007).
Nóra Ducza made her debut at the Hungarian State Opera in September 2007, in the role of Barbarina in W.A. Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro. She also performed at Szegedi National Theatre (2009-2011). She has worked as teacher at Székesfehérvár Hermann László Music Vocational High School and AMI (2011-2016); at Budapesti Ward Mária Iskola (since 2016); and at Premontrei Iskolaközpont (since August 2023). She currently lives in Budapest, Hungary.
