The Portuguese soprano, Teresa Duarte, began her musical studies at the age of 7 at the Fundação Musical dos Amigos das Crianças, where she studied cello. Later, she joined the Academia de Amadores de Música, where she participated in several children's operas as a soloist. It was at the Instituto Gregoriano in Lisbon that she completed secondary school in music. She completed two degrees in Singing at the Escola Superior de Música in Lisbon (2010-2013) and at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam (2013-2018).
Teresa Duarte is a member of the Coro Gulbenkian (since September 2018) and has collaborated with the Grupo Vocal Olisipo, Orquestra XXI, MPMP (Movimento Patrimonial pela Música Portuguesa) and the ensemble Gli Accenti. She is a member and co-founder of Ensemble 258. She has participated in concerts as a soloist at the CCB, Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian, Teatro São Luiz, Theatro Circo, Teatro Aveirense, Cine-Teatro de Alcobaça and De Nationale Opera (Amsterdam). |
