The Israeli violinist, Hadar Cohen, began to study the violin at the age of 6. He graduated from the Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts, and served in the IDF as part of the “Excellent Musicians” program. At the the Rubin Academy of Music and Dance in Jerusalem, he studied with Ms. Ora Shiran, and later continued his studies in Germany with Professor Axel Wilczok.
Hadar Cohen has performed as a soloist with orchestras such as the IBA Symphony Orchestra and the Jerusalem Academy Orchestra ,and played in the Schleswig Holstein Festival Orchestra, Radio-Symphonie-Orchester-Berlin, and the Philharmoniker Hamburg.
Hadar Cohen is an avid chamber musician and was a member of the Rosso and Carmel Quartets with whom he performed extensively in Israel, Europe and the USA. He was also a member of the Pitango Quartet and together they recorded a cd of Argentinian Tango. He currently lives with his wife and son in Tel Aviv, and is a member of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. |
