Clover Saxophone Quartet was founded in 2005 by alumni of Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. The sound that would change the traditional saxophone images, becomes a new dawn of classical saxophone music. The recital debut was at the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan in May 2007 after the preparation period of two years. The regular rectital that followed, held so far at Kioi Hall, Hamarikyu Asahi Hall, etc, have been met with great success. Especially the performances of 2012, at Tokyo Bunka Kaikan, and playing J.S. Bach's Goldberg Variations (BWV 988) were well-received. The Quartet released the CD "Clover," "Precious" on King Records. "Precious" has been selected to specialties board in Record Art Magazine. |
