The Hong Kong Chinese lyric coloratura soprano and pianist, Tracy Cheung, was born and raised in Hong Kong, and having received musical training in the USA from 2016 to 2021. She obtained her Bachelor of Music degree in Piano and Composition from The Chinese University of Hong Kong; her Master of Music degree in Voice and Opera from West Chester University of Pennsylvania (2016-2018); and her Master of Music degree in Piano Pedagogy from West Chester University of Pennsylvania (August 2019-May 2021).
Tracy Cheung is a versatile musician proficient equally in singing and piano. Classically trained, but also capable in pop music and jazz styles, as well as music arrangement and improvisation. She perform as a soloist in various operas and recitals and as a collaborative pianist. She is a lso highly involved in church music ministry and music education. She has worked as Children’s Choir Director/Founder at Abundant Life Christian Church (August 2013-June 2016); Choir Director at The Baptist Church Of West Chester (September-December 2018); Vocal accompanist at West Chester University of Pennsylvania (August 2016-May 2021); Music teacher - Piano and Vocal at Musikitchen (since January 2022); Faculty Member- Piano and Vocal and Lecturer on music history from Medieval to Classical period at Hong Kong International Institute of Music (since September 2021). |
