The Italian pianist, Amedeo Cannas, decided to start studying the piano at 10 years under the guidance of Maestro Valerio Carta and made his first experience with the public at the age of 11. In 2004 he was admitted to the Conservatorio "G.P. da Palestrina" in Cagliari in the class of Maestro Maurizio Moretti, from which he graduated in 2009 with highest honors in 2009. As a student, he attended frequently master-classes with illustrious artists as Gerlinde Otto, Benedetto Lupo, Stanislav Pochekin, Jurgis Karnavicius, Yukio Miyazaki and Rolf Dieter Arens. For three years he took part, again as a regular student, the interpretation master-classes and piano technique at the association "Inter Artes in Bosa" with Maestros Maurizio Moretti, Stanislav Pochekin and Angela Oliviero, actively participating in the final concert of the best students. Since the age of 11 years he participated in various national competitions always finishing with the first prize.
Amedeo Cannas is currently attending the upper two years of the Conservatorio of Cagliari under the guidance of Maestro Maurizio Moretti and in parallel perfecting in Spain at Conservatori Superior de Musica Lliceu of Barcelona. Recently he took part in the Accademia Internazionale Pianistica di Cagliari.
Since 2009, Amedeo Cannas plays regularly in Duo with the pianist Paola Meloni, giving concerts in Italy and Spain, working for important associations (Associazione Mozart Italia, Fondazione Siotto) and exhibitions in both countries.
In May 2010, Amedeo Cannas was a guest for a recital at the Conservatori Liceu of Barcelona. As part of Classical Concert Season 2009's "Ente Musicale di Nuoro" in a recital performing music by Schubert, Sergei Rachmaninov and Franz Liszt, on that occasion the Sardinian press wrote: "A child prodigy on the piano that just eighteen He is already making it big in the panorama of the island. The young man is on the verge of a diploma in piano, but already has all of the performer cloth ". He regularly plays for the foundation G Siotto of Cagliary and the Associazione Mozart Italia. He was invited as a guest to a charity evening by the Rotary Club and Lions Club of Cagliari. |
