The German soprano, Eva Budde, received since early childhood a musical education with instrumental and vocal lessons and in 1999 & 1999 she was a Federal prize-winner at Jugend musiziert. After graduation she studied singing at the Musikhochschule in Köln with Professor Arthur Janzen and finished with the diploma and concert exams. Her training was supplemented by workshops and master-classes with Dame Felicity Lott & Graham Johnson, Kammersängerin Brigitte Fassbaender, Ingeborg Danz, Christoph Prégardien, Professor Ulrich Rademacher, Sissel Hyem Aune, Professor Thomas Heyer, and others. Several times she was laureate at the Landeswettbewerb Gesang NRW (2008 & 2010) and in 2010 semi-finalist at the International Singing Competition Montserrat Caballé in Zaragoza, Spain. She was also scholarship holder of the Richard-Wagner-Verbands.
Eva Budde is engaged in the best professional choirs in Germany. She was a welcome guest in the SWR Vokalensemble Stuttgart and several opera choirs (Chor der Wuppertaler Bühnen & Chor der Aalto-Theater Essen), singing for more than five years as a permanent member of the WDR Rundfunkchor Köln (2005-2010), and then in the Chor der Bayerischen Staatsoper in Munich and guest of the Chor der Oper Köln (2012-2013). She was also a member of the Dresdner Kammerchor (Director: Hans-Christoph Rademann). She collaborated with many internationally known conductors, also with a solo engaments. So she can be heard on the promo CD released by WDR 2010 with a solo.
In the concert area, Eva Budde has performed all popular solo parts of the great oratorios of Bach, Mozart, Haydn, Mendelssohn, Brahms and Verdi. Most recently, she was Brangäne in Frank Martin's » Der Zaubertrank « in a performance at the Cuvillies-Theater München in the frame of the Opernfestspiele 2012. New music, musical theater, musicals and especially the Lied play a major role in the soprano's life, for example as a member the Jungen Kammeroper Köln. She sang in various primal and premiere performances and played the leading female role of Scapine's in the rediscovery of the one-act Scherz, List und Rache by Max Bruch in Cologne. At the invitation of Kammersängerin Brigitte Fassbaender in 2005, she gave a Lieder recital together with the baritone Wiard Witholt as part of the supporting program of the Eppaner Liedsommer.
Eva Budde has been very successful as a vocal coach and voice coach in various choirs and vocal formations as well as at various institutions and in her private singing class, including two years with the Kinder- und Jugendchores der Wuppertaler Bühnen (2010-2011), and five years with the Knabenchor Wuppertaler Kurrende (2000-2005). In 2008, she taught at the Conservatory Trondheim in Norway at the invitation of Professor Sissel Høyem Aune, whose singing-educational book translated her into German. From 2007 to 2010. she organised the Internationalen Sommerkurse für Gesang und Klavier der Akademie Wort und Musik, Neuss. She is a member of Bund Deutscher Gesangspädagogen (BDG). |
