The German conductor and organist, Günter Brick, studied school music with special subject of conducting at the Staatlichen Hochschule für Musik Heidelberg-Mannheim with Professor Gerald Kegelmann. Subsequently, he studied church music at the Berliner Kirchenmusikschule; choir and orchestra conducting with Professor Martin Behrmann. He passed the A-exam in 1990, among other things in choir and orchestra conducting “with honour”.
From 1990 to 1998 Günter Brick was lecturer for conducting and choir directing, tuning, scoring and basso continuo playing at the Berliner Kirchenmusikschule, as well as lecturer of the church-musical advanced training of the Evangelischen Landeskirche Berlin-Brandenburg.
Since July 1990 Günter Brick is Kantor and organist of the Grunewaldkirche in Berlin. He is director of the Berliner Kantorei and the Berliner Motettenchor. He has performed numerous oratorios, orchestral and a-capella works. Since 2002 he is Kreiskantor for Berlin-Wilmersdorf.
Günter Brick could be heard heard and seen with different broadcast and television productions. He has recorded numerous CD's with choir, orchestra and organ music..
