The German organist, harpsichordist and conductor, Christian Brembeck, studied organ, piano and conducting at the Musikhochschule in Munich, and received in 1981 the Organ Prize of the City of Würzburg. In 1987 he completed his studies with a master class diploma.
Since 1987 Christian Brembeck has been at the permanent disposal of the Münchner Philharmoniker (where he also was a scholar of the legendary Sergiu Celibidache), the Tölzer Knabenchor as accompanist and continuo player. He then developed an extensive and diverse concert career as organ virtuoso, harpsichord recitalist, chamber musician and especially as conductor in Europe (all the major cities and festivals), USA, Israel, the Far East and South America. He has not confined his attention to Baroque organ music in North and South Germany but is also a sensitive interpreter of the French and the German romantic repertoire. He has appeared with orchestras and choirs of the greatest distinction, including the Münchner Philharmoniker, the Munich Radio Orchestra, the Bamberger Symphoniker the Collgium Aureum and the Tölzer Knabenchor. He has also appeared as a soloist with a number of orchestras in Gemany and abroad.
Christian Brembeck regularly works with the Parthenia ensembles, which he himself founded, and since 1992 he has been the permanent conductor of the chamber orchestra Capella Istropolitana (Bratislava).
Numerous appearances as guest conductor and recitalist at home and abroad, as well as an extensive discography (Capriccio, Chistophorus, Naxos, Arte nova, Intercord, PAN, Pavane, Sony, etc.) are proof of Christian Brembeck´s artistic wealth. |
