From 2000 to 2002 Stephan Boving was ensemble member of the Landestheaters Detmold. Further engagements led him, among other things, to the Staatstheater Oldenburg, the Musiktheater in Revier Gelsenkirchen, the Theater in Lübeck and Hagen, as well as the Wuppertaler Bühnen, where he is engaged for the 2005-2006 season. In this theatre he could be heard before in the premiere of Katzelmacher by Kurt Schwertsik's and in Rossini's Il Turco in Italia. His repertoire includes also roles as Beppo in I Pagliacci, Peter Iwanow in Zar und Zimmermann, Hexe in Hänsel und Gretel, Scaramuccio in Ariadne auf Naxos and Marius in Les Misérables. At the Eutiner Festival he appeared in summer 2005 as Remendado in Carmen and Monostatos in Die Zauberflöte.
Besides Stephan Boving dedicates himself intensively to the concert area. Thus he sang the role of Uriel in Haydn's Die Schöpfung under the direction of Marcus Creed. As the Evangelist in J.S. Bach's Johannes-Passion (BWV 245) he could be heard at the Kölner Philharmonie and at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris under the baton of Andreas Spering. |
