Ensemble Dreiklang Berlin (Recorder Ensemble) |
Founded: 1992 (?) - Berlin, Germany |
The number three has always had a magic symbolism. It is considered a sacred number by many peoples. The composition with three voices in its transparency and clarity places the highest demands on composers and players. In the 16th century, a sophisticated art of recorder playing meets a wealth of three-part compositions. A unique ensemble sound is produced which can merge into one the independence of the vote with a wealth of timbre and articulation nuances and brilliant virtuosity.
Starting from this heyday of recorder ensembles open Irmhild Beutler, Martin Ripper and Sylvia C. Rosin have a stylistically wide-ranging repertoire for their trio. More than 30 different instruments of the recorder family are used. Ensemble Dreiklang Berlin (= EDB) delights the audience with tonal refinements from seven centuries, including their own compositions and arrangements. Since 1999 a series of shett music for recorder trios has been published by Universal Edition Wien, since 2002 the Workshop Bassblockflöte – Bassblockflöte in ensemble playing. In 1997 the CD "Fantasia" appeared; in 1999 the CD "Chips 'n' Chocolate" on Hänssler Classic; and in 2004 "Pastyme with Good Companye" on Chandos / Chaconne. In 1992, the recorder trio won the 1st Prize of the Chamber Music Competition of the Hochschule der Künste Berlin and in 1998 the Ensemble Competition of the International Recorder Symposium Calw. |
