Capella Vitalis Berlin (= CVB) was founded with the idea of bringing a new and interesting sound-body into Berlin's musical life. Its motto is to revitalise the music of the 17th / 18th centuries and to let forgotten works be heard once more.
Founded by the baroque violinists Almut Schlicker and Ulrike Wildenhof in 2002 - the ensemble consists of well-known professional musicians, all of whom have dedicated themselves to historical performance practice and have met mostly in chamber music contexts. They are a fl exible formation ranging from Baroque sonata/trio sonata up to full classical or romantic orchestra.
The group has a reputation for lively musical presentation accompanied by a harmonious atmosphere within the group. Capella Vitalis Berlin is o
fetn a welcome guest and has performed in festivals in London, Spain, Denmark, Norway as well as the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival.
Another place in the ensemble’s calendar is given to regular cooperation with professional and non-professional choirs. O
ften the question: ‘do you have a CD?’ has been asked. With "Encaenia Musices" this longstanding wish has been granted. |
