Coro Bellas Artes is made up of music and singing students from various conservatories and universities in Chile. Since its formation in 1993 it has been one of the main choral groups in Chile. The choir regularly participates in the seasons of the Teatro Municipal de Santiago tiago and in the International Concert Season of the Teatro Oriente, where together with the Orquesta de Cámara de Chile they have performed the oratories Belshazzar, Saul and Solomon by George Frideric Handel.
In the years 1992, 1995 and 1998, the choir was presented in various venues in Spain, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, Sweden, Denmark and Argentina, always receiving the support of the public and specialized critics.
Coro Bellas Artes has made the following recordings: "Sinfonía Coral Latinoamericana" (1992), L.v. Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 (1998), Oratorio Ignacio de Loyola by José Ignacio Tejón (1999), J.S. Bach's Johannes-Passion (BWV 245); (2000) , Oratorio de Navidad Según San Lucas by Ángel Parra (2000) and, recently, our "Muestra de Música Latinoamericana" (2001).
