The American soprano, Bethany Battafarano, obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Music, Anthropology, Psychology from Macalester College (2009-2013).
Bethany Battafarano has been a contracted singer with The Singers MCA (August 2014-July 2015), Minnesota Chorale (since July 2014), Cathedral of St. Paul (Soprano Section Leader, Cantor: since September 2013), and Apollo Master Chorale, and has appeared with Oratory Bach Ensemble, Elm Ensemble, and First Readings Project.She joined The Rose Ensemble in September 2015. She was drawn to the ensemble by the clear intellectual and musical engagement of its musicians, its spirit of warm and genuine artistry, and its commitment to delivering music into the heart of its community.
Aside from her work in singing, Bethany Battafarano takes an avid interest in ethnomusicology, cultural literacy, and mental health, and currently has the pleasure of working with children who have autism. She was Senior Developmental Trainee (Autism Program) at Fraser (July 2014-November 2015 ); 2016-2017 Programs: Jerusalem, A Renaissance Requiem, A Rose in Winter, Musique et Masqueray.
