The German choral conductor, church musician and music teacher, Christoph Bachmaier, studied, after graduation, from 1978 to 1983 church music and music pedagogy at the Musikhochschule in Regensburg and from 1983 to 1987 concert organ at the Musikhochschule Mozarteum in Salzburg with Elisabeth Ullmann and Heiner Kühner. Courses for Lieder accompaniment with Erik Werba, and training sessions for choral and orchestral conducting at the Bayerischen Musikrat completed his studies.
Since 1982, Christopher worked mainly as church musician at the Stadtpfarrkirche Sankt Nikolaus in Eggenfelden, and after spending several years as a music teacher at the Städtischen Wirtschaftschule Eggenfelden was active mainly at the Closen Gymnasium Eggenfelden / Gern. At the end of the 2005-2006 school year, he resigned from school from personal and professional reasons. He was also employed as a lecturer in training of church musicians at the Kirchenmusikhochschule Regensburg. |
