The Armenian coloratura soprano, Anna Avdalyan, studied musicology at the Komitas State University of Music of of Yerevan. She has been studying at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart since 2016. In 2013, she won 1st Prize at the International “Renaissance” competition in Gyumri. Master-classes with Margreet Honig, Peter Berne, Burkhard Kehring, Elly Ameling and Camilla Nylund rounded off her training.
With the music group New Names of Armenia Anna Avdalyan went on concert tours to European countries, the USA, the United Arab Emirates, Lebanon and Russia. In 2015 she performed as a soloist with the Our Lady of Armenia Choir in St. Peter's Basilica with Pope Francis. She has sung at Sängerin at Gerhart Hauptmann-Theater Görlitz-Zittau (since July 2021); at Schleswig-Holsteinisches Landestheater und Sinfonieorchester (since October 2021), and at Bayerische Staatsoper (since May 2022). From 2023 she will be a member of the ensemble of the Schleswig-Holsteinischen Landestheaters. Her repertoire includes, among others: Zerbinetta in Ariadne auf Naxos, Blonde in W.A. Mozart's Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Queen of the Night and Papagena in W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte and Donna Anna in W.A. Mozart's Don Giovanni. |
