Arundo Quartet originated on the initiative of the bassoonist of the Berliner Philharmoniker Václav Vonášek as part of his project to completely arrange J.S. Bach's Goldberg Variations (BWV 988) and Orchestral Suites. The debut album was released in 2019 under the label Supraphon.
