The Spanish tenor and singing teacher, Antonio Aragón Saugar, studied at the Conservatorio Palma de Mallorca. He attended master-classes with L. Climent, Werner Hollweg, Juan Oncina, Howard Crook and is currently expanding his training with William Mateuzzi and Carmen Bustamante.
Antonio Aragón is a member of the La Capella Reial de Catalunya (Director: Jordi Savall). He collaborates with the Capella de Ministrers, Estil Concertant, with the Ensemble Elyma (Director: G. Garrido), as well as with the group Camerata Iberia (Director: Juan Carlos De Mulder) with whom he has recorded a CD of Spanish Baroque music with texts by Calderón. Also with the Orquesta Barroca de Sevilla and Orquesta Barroca de Salamanca.
Antonio Aragón has participated in the opera seasons of the Teatro Principal de Palma de Mallorca in the productions Bastien und Bastienne and Die Zauberflöte by W.A. Mozart, L'Italiana in Algeri by Rossini, La Fanciulla del West by Puccini, La Sonnambula by V. Bellini; in the Opera Workshop of Valencia, in the Málaga opera season, Opera Workshop of the Teatre Lliure, staging Haydn's opera Il Mondo della Luna... He participates in Baroque opera productions such as King Arthur, Dido and Eneas by H. Purcell, Jonas and Jephte by Carissimi, Die Tageszeiten by Georg Philipp Telemann,...
Antonio Aragón works with the Orquesta Simfònica de les Illes Balears under the direction of Salvador Brotons, Jordi Casas, Edmon Colomer, performing works such as J.S. Bach's Magnificat (BWV 243), Charles Gounod's Santa Cecilia Mass, W.A. Mozart's Coronation Mass, L.v. Beethoven's Mass in C major, W.A.
