The Brazilian soprano, pianist and music teacher, Luciana Alvarenga, obtained her Bachelor of Music degree in Piano from Escola de Música da UFMG (Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais) in Belo Horizonte (1999-2003); and her Diploma from the same institute (2006). She also studied at Instituto Brasileiro de Canto Contemporâneo - IBCC, graduating in September 2018. She then obtained her Bachelor of Popular Music from Escola de Música da UFMG (2014-2018), where she studied piano with Cliff Korman (2014-2016), Luísa Mitre (2016-2018), and Rafael Martini (2018); and her Bachelor of Music degree in Singing from Escola de Música da UFMG (2019).
Luciana Alvarenga is active as a singer, pianist and music teacher in Belo Horizonte area. She has been singing teacher at UFMG (January 2008-2010); singing teacher at Fundação Clóvis Salgado (January 2010-January 2011); Former Soprano at Ars Nova Coral da UFMG (August 2014-May 2018); music teacher at Colégio Rudolf Steiner de Minas Gerais in Nova Lima; singer in Concentus Musicum de Belo Horizonte (since January 2017); pianist of Abre a Roda - Mulheres no Choro (since September 2017).
Luciana Alvarenga is a member (singer and pianist) of the group Cappella em Trio, of which she is the vocal coach and prepares the vocal arrangements. The ensemble is dedicated to the research and performance of Brazilian Popular Music, and has participated in several projects in Belo Horizonte and in cities in the interior of Minas Gerais. Along her career, she has already performed two international tours, with more than 20 shows in France. |
