The Canadsian pianist, Adam Aleksander, studied with Sergei Babayan at the Cleveland Institute of Music, Regina Smendzianka at the Chopin Academy in Warsaw, Ivan Davis at University of Miami (where he earned his doctorate) and Jim Bonn at the University of Southern California, and with William Doppmann at the Peabody Conservatory of Music. He has received top prizes in over 19 piano competitions, including international competitions in Barcelona (Spain), Paris (France), Salerno (Italy), Miami (Florida, USA), Edmonton (Canada), Palm Beach (Florida, USA), and Lawton (Oklahoma, USA), and has received prizes for his recordings in competitions in Austin (Texas, USA) and Calgary (Alberta, Canada). In addition, he has been awarded grants from The Canada Council and The Alberta Heritage Trust Fund.
Adam Aleksander has been performing to the acclaim of audiences worldwide since his debut with orchestra at the age of 14 with Frédéric Chopin's Piano Concerto in E Minor. He has performed in Japan, Italy, France, Spain, Poland, South Africa, Scotland, Brazil, Ecuador, Canada and the USA, and at festivals in Tokyo, Tours, Atami, Orford, Quebec, Interlochen, Michigan, Cleveland, Miami, Slupsk as well as Antonin, Poland.

Adam Aleksander has been teaching for over 20 years. He teaches along with his wife, Dr. Hanna Cyba, in Miami, Florida.He accepts students of all ages and levels, young and adult beginners as well as pianists preparing for competitions and university school of music auditions. His private and university students have excelled in piano competitions and have been accepted into undergraduate and graduate university music programs. Adam Aleksander is the Artistic Advisor for the Chopin Foundation of the USA. He is also a members of the associations: National Federation of Music Clubs, National Guild of Piano Teachers, Music Teachers National Association.
