About the Artist:
Leo Posillico's prolific art career began in the mid-sixties at the School of Visual Arts in New York. From there he entered the military, which allowed him to grow creatively as a photographer and photo instructor. Since 1969 he has dedicated himself to an independent career in painting and sculpture. He won his first award in Los Angeles where he was awarded the Art Director's Award for three consecutive years. He works with the mediums with the acrylic, India ink, and other applications to create unique works. Possillio's skillful paintings are brimming with social satire. His simple effortless brushstrokes combined with colorful text produce funny, yet scathing commentary on the issue of communication in today's society. His style is so original that one cannot help but be drawn into the framework of Posillico's world.
