"Bach's Parlour"
This is a one of a kind shadow box diorama. It features a sweet lil taxidermy couple. They inhabit a beautifully decorated Victorian style music parlour, This scene is titled Bach’s Parlour, where the red wine flows and the music never stops. It is a glass fronted custom built box where two very sophisticated fuzzy individuals dwell. These two really do appreciate each other. He is enjoying a stereo view while she is about to break into a jig! Being taxidermy themselves, they appreciate and own their own taxidermy. The lighting is a 3 arm working chandelier that plugs into a regular light socket. There are various hand picked art selections, including a framed piece from the late 1800’s of Downtown San Francisco. The finest red velvet covered couch sits in the middle of the room and to the left is a very nice antique lamp on a black table. The black table has an array of items on it, including stereo views and a spilled glass of wine. There is a black Grand Piano with a bust of Bach at the other end of the room. Gold framed butterfly specimens hang above the table. Victorian ceiling accents truly set off the purple ceiling.
This box is sealed and framed in a glass fronted box. It hangs on the wall supported by wood corbels. Please ask if you need measurements. These animals died of natural causes and now live forever, happily, in this beautiful scene!

About the Artist:
Audra & Brennan are two artists who have realized their love for taxidermy while falling in love with each other. Both have always been animal lovers and feel that the life of an animal doesn’t necessarily end at their death. Being avid taxidermy collectors they both see the importance of natural history and respect the art of taxidermy. It is a deep appreciation for natural history and curiosity that has sparked this project. Audra grew up in Los Angeles, California with a 7 year stint in the art saturated city of San Francisco, where she abandoned art school for her love of music and was a member of both bands, Shackleton and Vervein. Brennan grew up in Evansville, Indiana and spent several years living in Chicago. They both ended up together in Los Angeles, where they still reside with their two dogs, creating their one of a kind pieces of art.
Audra is a make up artist and is trained in many facets of the arts including painting & photography. Brennan is in the retail fashion industry and has a passion for hip hop and urban culture. They both share a love for music, movies & art. They are collectors of the unusual and macabre. From antique dental equipment to post mortem photography their collections are constantly growing and evolving. With their love of taxidermy came a curiosity for Anthropomorphic Taxidermy. Beginning in the mid 1800’s, Anthropomorphic Taxidermy is an art form that is both inspiring and somewhat unaccepted. Hermann Ploucquet, a pioneer who was well known for his “Fighting Squirrels“, was the first to show his works in 1850. One of the most well known and influential Anthropomorphic artists was Walter Potter. With his collection of works that were exhibited in the Potter Museum, Potter was the first to be so publicly accepted. Having a keen sense of recognizing and appreciating small details is a big part of what makes these pieces so unique. Keeping these works of art time period specific is an integral part of creating them. The animals you see in these works have been spared no luxury. They are Loved To Death by us and hopefully you too! Animals died of natural causes.
