Johann Sebastian Bach is considered by many to be the best composer of the Baroque period. Married twice, he had twenty children, ten of whom survived to adulthood. During his life, he was a court musician, church organist, and cantor. His enormously prolific output includes numerous preludes and fugues for keyboard, concertos, church cantatas and other sacred music. One example of his music is the Toccata and Fugue in D minor. |
