Johann Balthasar Kehl (Composer)
|
Born: August 24, 1725
Died: April 7, 1778 |
The German composer, Johann Balthasar Kehl, was organist in Erlangen and Bayreuth. In the years 1759-1764 he printed four books with chorale arrangements (they contain in each case 1 preludes and 14 chorale arrangements). Stylistically Kehl's compositions are connected with the feeling and style of the Protestant chorales. However, they still exhibit also some Baroque style elements. |
