Cornelius Freundt [Freund] (Bonamicus) as a German Kantor and composer. Nothing is actually known about his origin, youth and training. He worked as Kantor in Borna and became in 1565 Kantor at St. Marien and teacher at the Ratsschule in Zwickau.
Cornelius Freundt wrote motets occasional songs; of the 28 sets of the Christmas carol books collected by him, wrote he 15. |
