History & Mission: |
Bach İstanbul’da - Bach Günleri (İstanbul Bach Days) has been organized in Istanbul ever since 1988; it has always involved worldwide known Bach musicians and also ran very striking PR campaigns, and hence has attracted a lot of attention and became one of the most respected musical events in İstanbul, in a short period of time.
İstanbul Bach Days with its unique and colourful concerts like ‘Bach & DJ’ and ‘house concerts’ have got big masters as Gustav Leonhardt, Sigiswald Kuijken, Bob van Asperen, Andreas Staier, Reinhard Goebel, Pierre Hantaï, Roel Dieltiens and important ensembles like Musica Antiqua Köln, Ensemble Of Soloists Hermitage, La Petite Bande and Jacques Loussier Trio. Istanbul Bach Days has also won several PR awards with its welldone festival posters too.
The İstanbul Bach Days has been organized in Hagia Irene and St. Antuan Church for years, but as of 2007 has spread to various other venues all around Istanbul, embracing the city and has become a big Bach feast. |
