The German contralto, Dorothea Zimmermann, studied at the Hochschule für Kirchenmusik. With Professor Richard Wistreich (UK), she studied singing / Early Music at the Musikhochschule in Trossingen and participated in master-classes with Evelyn Tubb, Max van Egmond and Harry van der Kamp.
Dorothea Zimmermann sang as a soloist at the "Bach Project 2000" of the Sächsischen Musikrates (Saxon Music Council), with the Thomanerchor Leipzig, with the Telemannisches Collegium Michaelstein under Ludger Rémy, in concerts of the "Festival Mitte Europa" with the ensemble Musica Poetica Lübeck, as well as in projects, sauch as Matthäus-Passion BWV 244) conducted by Barthold Kuijken (Belgium). |
