The French soprano, Julia Wischniewski, studied at Lycée Vauvenargues in Aix-en-Provence. She studied music at Conservatoire d?Aix-en-provence (piano and viola), and at Conservatoire Supérieur de Lyon (CNSMD Lyon) (singing). She then perfected with Magali Damonte and Léontina Vaduva.
Following her studies, Julia Wischniewski has been playing the roles of Fortune in L'Incoronazione di Poppea by Monteverdi, Diane in Actéon by Charpentier, Dorothée in Cendrillon by Massenet, Papagena in Die Zauberflöte by W.A. Mozart and Fairy Queen by Purcell. She was also The cat, the shepherdess and the bat in l’Enfant et les sortilèges by Ravel or Dido in Dido and Aeneas by H. Purcell.
Julia Wischniewski performs very frequently in concert with ensembles such as: Le Concert d'Astrée (Director: Emmanuelle Haïm), Les Paladins (Director: Jérôme Corréas), L’Astrée (Director: Giorgio Tabacco), ensemble Clément Janequin (Director: Dominique Visse), Les Eléments (Director: Joël Suhubiette), Les Arts Florissants (Director: William Christie) or the Orchestre de Chambre de Toulouse and Ensemble Jacques Moderne (Director: Joël Suhubiette) or Il Gusto Barocco (Stuttgart Baroque Orchestra, Director: Jörg Halubek).
Specializing in the Baroque repertoire, Julia Wischniewski performs in recital with Le Concert d'Astrée directed by Emmanuelle Haïm at the Opéra de Lille in a program of French music. She joined Gilles Colliard for Motets by Antonio Vivaldi with the Orchestre de Chambre de Toulouse, and Jérôme Corréas for La Fausse Magie by Grétry with the ensemble Les Paladins.
Julia Wischniewski also participated in the world premiere of Tichenko 2011 conducted by Tugan Sokhiev at the Capitole de Toulouse. Under the baton of Tugan Sokhiev and with the Orchestre de Chambre de Toulouse, she also performed in Felix Mendelssohn's Midsummer Night's Dream. She was also the voice of Sonia Yoncheva in Vénus dans Dardanus by Rameau under the direction of Emmanuelle Haïm at the Opéra de Lille, the Grand Théâtre de Caen and at the Opéra de Dijon.
In 2016, Julia Wischniewski performed as a soloist in two chamber music programs with the Italian Ensemble Astrée (Director: Giorgio Tabacco): one devoted to George Frideric Handel's Cantatas, the other to W.A. Mozart's Lieder. She performed notably in Turin, San Michele, Mondovi, Milan ... In May 2016, she joined the casting of Brice Pauset's world-famous "Wonderful Deluxe" at the Grand Théâtre de Luxembourg and at the Rotterdam Opera.
She notably recorded Scarlatti's Stabat Mater with the Jacques Moderne orchestra under the direction of Joël Suhubiette (soprano part 1). She currently lives in Pantin, France. |
