The American soprano, Nicole L. Weigelt, obtained her a Bachelor of Music degree from SUNY Fredonia; and her Master of Music degree from Manhattan School of Music in New York (2011). She was a member of the Gerdine Young Artist program at Opera Theatre of Saint Louis and a member of the young artist program at Des Moines Metro Opera.
Nicole Weigelt has sung roles at the Manhattan School of Music, the Lyric Opera of New York, and the Opera Theater of St. Louis. Her roles include Mère Marie in Francis Poulenc's Les Dialogues des Carmelites, Annina in Der Rosenkavalier, Zita in Gianni Schicchi, Marcellina in W.A. Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro, Filipvenva in Eugene Onegin, and Un pâtre in L’enfant et les Sortilèges at the Chautauqua Institution; La Abuela in La Vida Breve and Alkandre in Pénélope at Manhattan School of Music; Hansel in Engelbert Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel and Third Lady in W.A. Mozart's The Magic Flute with the Hillman Opera; and Maurya in Riders to the Sea.
Nicole Weigelt has appeared as a soloist with the Lansing Symphony Orchestra, Manhattan School of Music Chamber Sinfonia and Westchester Oratorio Society. She continues to appear as a soloist with several different symphony and chamber orchestras.
Nicole Weigelt has been Patron Services and Marketing Associate at Orpheus Chamber Orchestra in New York (2017-2018); Artist Services Manager at Santa Fe Opera in New Mexico (2018-2021); and Administrative Assistant in Office of the President at Manhattan School of Music in New York. She currently lives in New York City. |
