The American tenor singer and actor, Jacob Keith Watson, obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Musical Theatre from Ouachita Baptist University (2007-2011). Recent awards include Second Place in the prestigious international Lotte Lenya Competition with the Kurt Weill Foundation (2012), First Place in the first ever NATS National Musical Theatre Competition (2012), and Best Stage Presence/Regional Finalist in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions.
Jacob Keith Watson is active as an actor/singer since December 2011. In recent years, he has performed roles in numerous mediums and genres. Some of his favorite roles include Feste in Twelfth Night, Horton in Seussical the Musical, Frederic in Pirates of Penzance, Naphtali/Calypso Soloist in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Scranton Slim/M.C. in Guys and Dolls, Iago (U/S) in Othello, Rodolfo in La Boheme, Corin in As You Like It, Trevor Graydon in Thoroughly Modern Millie, Sir Harry in Once Upon a Mattress, Albert Peterson in Bye Bye Birdie, Don Ottavio in W.A. Mozart's Don Giovanni. In February of 2013, he was a featured soloist in a concert titled New York, New York with the Kurt Weill Festival in Dessau, Germany. Other recent roles include Bill in Samuel Barber's A Hand of Bridge, Larry/Matt in The Face on the Barroom Floor, Beppe in Pagliacci, and Matteo Borsa (Duke Cover) in Rigoletto. His favorite credits include also Tony-nominated/winning revivals of Carousel (Enoch Snow), Hello, Dolly! and Violet, The Phantom of the Opera (Joseph Buquet), the acclaimed Encores! production of 1776 (Robert Livingston) as well as the National/International tour of Chicago the Musical (Amos Hart).
