The American soprano, Clarice Alfonso-Warrick, obtained her Bachelor of Music (Arts) degree in Voice Performance Major, Minors in Psychology and Political Science (Grade3.6) from the University of Central Florida (2007-2011); and her Master of Music degree in Voice Performance from Roosevelt University Chicago College of Performing Arts (2011-2013) , where she perfomed in W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte, Leonard Bernstein's’s Candide, Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, Toch’s The Princess and the Pea, and Puccini’s Suor Angelica.
Clarice Warrick began her musical career in Florida, performing all throughout the state, being involved in local community music theater, numerous sate choirs, and received her degree in voice performance from the University of Central Florida in 2011, where she performed in scenes from W.A. Mozart's Cosi fan Tutti, Double Trouble, and W.A. Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro. Her choral exploits have brought her all the way to Europe, where she has performed in Italy, Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic, as both a soloist and choral singer.
In past seasons, Clarice Warrick performed in the Chicago premiere of Hallelujah! Broadway in the historic Auditorium Theater, joined the Grant Park Symphony Chorus in their 51st and 52nd seasons, was featured as the soprano soloist for Carmina Burana at the Chicago College of Performing Arts, performed in the Chicago premiere of Daron Hagen’s opera Amelia covering the role of the Nurse, and joined the Chicago Symphony Chorus in Verdi’s Macbeth and Benjamin Britten's War Requiem.
Praised for her musical elegance and passion, soprano Clarice Warrick made her Orchestra Hall debut to great acclaim as the alto soloist in the North American premiere of Jacob TV's Mountaintop with the Chicago Sinfonietta. Other feats this season include First Lady in W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte, role debuts of Julia Jellicoe in Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Grand Duke, Silvia in the world premiere of Philip Seward’s Sincerely Yours, chorus in L.v. Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 and Prokofiev’s Alexander Nevsky in both Chicago and Carnegie Hall with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and was the featured soprano soloist in W.A. Mozart's Mass in C Minor with the Columbia Singers. She sings with Vox3, the Forte ensemble, Grant Park Chorus, and the Chicago Symphony Chorus (August 2013-September 2016). She is also Singer at St. James Cathedral in Seattle, Washington (since September 2016).
Clarice Warrick has also worked as Voice Instructor at Musical Expressions in Naperville, Illinois (September 2013-February 2015); Self-Employed Voice Teacher in Orlando, Florida (since January 2009); Owner/Instructor at Joyful Music Seattle (since July 2018). She currently lives in Seattle, Washington. |
