Michael Wallace (Baritone)

Born: Merseyside, England

The English baritone, Michael Wallace, began his singing career in the Metropolitan Cathedral Choir in Liverpool, where he sang for eleven years. He then moved to Manchester to study singing at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) with Patrick McGuigan. Whilst at the RNCM, he took part in various opera productions and concerts, including the role of Fredric in Le Fanu's The Story of Mary O'Neill, which was broadcast live on BBC Radio 3. He completed the 2001-2002 course at the National Opera Studio (ENS) supported by Welsh National Opera.

Recently, Michael Wallace has been singing with Glyndebourne Festival Opera covering the roles of Starveling in Benjamin Britten’s A Midsummer Night's Dream, and John in The Last Supper. He was recently awarded the Erich Vietheer Memorial Award.
