The Italian bass-baritone, Giorgio Valerio, graduated in singing at the Music Conservatory N. Piccinni in Bari with James Colafelice. He began singing at the age of 3 and at the age of 6 to study classical piano privately, continuing his studies at the Conservatory N. Piccinni in Bari with Maria Lucrezia Pedote. During his studies classical music, he devoted himself to the study of the piano in the field of Pop Music and Film Music.
In 1988, Giorgio Valerio joined the parish choir of San Giovanni Battista in Bari. In 1992, he assumed the role of organist that he woul keep for fourteen years. In 1994, he obtained a License in Theory and Solfeggio at the Music Conservatory Nino Rota in Monopoli (Ba). He began to cultivate a passion for synthesizers and samplers, exploring different sonic territory, from New Age music to electronic music. In 1995, he wrote his first song and began his work as a composer-singer-pianist, working in piano bars of his city and in the reception rooms. He performs Italian and foreign songs, and is also the author of the music for his songs, with the collaboration of the lyricist Silvana Mastrodonato. In 1997, he got the title of Composer Melodist at the SIAE Rome. From 1998 to 2004 he studied composition at the Conservatory of Bari with Davide Remigio and Maria Pia Sepe.
Giorgio Valerio has Diploma in Accounting; Diploma of Interpreter Singer Light Music at the CET of Mogol; Diploma in Singing at the Conservatory N. Piccinni in Bari; Licence of Score Reading; Licence Piano; Professional qualification of Sound Designer for Music, the Multimedia and Communication.
Giorgio Valerio has particpated in numerous composition seminars and workshops in the field of entertainment and pop music, and in many competitions as a performer and as a songwriter. He has appeared as a guest in various TV channels, radio and other musical events..
Giorgio Valerio studied at the Conservatory of Bari, as a pianist, a course of academic diploma level with the Masters of Jazz Roberto Ottaviano, David Santorsola and Vito Andrea Morra. Since 1996 he is an artist of the choir of the Conservatory, as a bass singers and soloist, participating in numerous concerts and singin music under the direction of Andrea Gargiulo (choir director) and Francesco Lentini, Rino Brown, Sergio monterisi and Giuseppe Monopoli (conductors).
Giorgio Valerio performed several times as a bass singer with Polifonica Grimaldi in Bari, conducted by Emanuela Aymone. He also performed as a bass and lead singer of gospel choir and jazz Calls & Shouts , directed by Andrea Gargiulo. As a pianisyt, he performed in numerous concerts and collaborations, with the Big Band Progetto zero……e lode directed by Andrea Gargiulo, at Jazz events such Erchie Jazz Festival at the Palazzo Ducale in Erchie and Multiculturita Summer Jazz Festival in Capurso (Bari). From 2005 to 2008 he collaborated with the Bari Conservatory as a piano accompanist for the chair of Canto Pop, in the course of Jazz, held by Nicoletta Martiradonna.
Giorgio Valerio gives private lessons Solfeggio, Piano and Singing. His voice is also used for commercials. |
