The Japanese bass, Tetsuya Uno, won the 1st International Lieder Competition of the Japan Schuben Society.
Following his highly acclaimed performance in 1987 with the role of Sarastro in The Magic Flute, Tetsuya Uno made frequent appearances in operas such as The Marriage of Figaro, Cosi fan tutte, and Der Freischütz. As a much-sought soloist of choral works, he recently sung in L.v. Beethoven's Ninth Symphony and J.S. Bach's St Matthew Passion (BWV 244). |
