The American contralto and choral conductor, Donna Tozer-Wipfli, sang for years with the renowned choral conductor, Robert Shaw.
For 23 years, until 2013, Donna Tozer-Wipfli was Director of Masterworks Chorale of Toledo, Ohio. Masterworks Chorale, founded in 1972, is an ensemble of 35 to 50 mixed voices whose purpose is to provide the greater Toledo area with a wide variety of choral music performed in a professional manner. The Chorale is committed to providing an enriching and fulfilling musical experience to both its audiences and its members. Under her artistic direction Masterworks Chorale maintained a strong performance repertoire and constantly seeks opportunities to educate, uplift, and enlighten its audience through a diverse offering of choral music skillfully performed. Masterworks Chorale maintains a varied repertoire ranging from the classics, to jazz, folk, and post modern works. She led the Masterworks Chorale in weekly rehearsals and seasonal concerts. In fall 2013 she became Choral Director at Ottawa Hills. |
