The Italian soprano, Ilaria Torciani, obtained her diploma in opera singing in 1993 from the Conservatorio "G. Verdi" di Milano. She also obtained a violin diploma from the Conservatorio "G. Nicolini” di Piacenza" di Piacenza.
Ilaria Torciani made her her debut as Serpina in Giovanni Battista Pergolesi's La serva padrona for the "Pavia-Città-Teatro" in 1991. She later worked as a soloist with the Gruppo Carme (directed by RadioTre RAI with Tarde de poetas by Luis de Pablo), Milano Classica and Guido Cantelli orchestras, Ensemble Musica Rara, Il Giardino Armonico (Director: Giovanni Antonini) (Euridice in Monteverdi's Orfeo for the Styriarte Festival in Graz). In particular she was Fauno in W.A. Mozart's Ascanio in Alba by Mozart, Vespina in Haydn's L'infedeltà delusa, , Euterpe ne Gluck's Il Parnaso confuso, Rosina in Portugal de Fonseca's e Lo spazzacamino and Livietta in G.B. Pergolesi's Livietta e Tracollo. She was also a member of Coro della Radio Svizzera (Director: Diego Fasolis) in 2002-2003.
