The German tenor, Daniel Jeremy Tilch, began his musical career at the age of 15 with the C-education for Catholic Church Music at the Musikhochschule Köln. There, his singing talent was discovered and promoted by Christine Langmaack, so that in early 2011 he became a prize-winner at the Bundeswettbewerb Jugend musiziert (National Youth competition). He is a practicing church musician and at home on the organ as well as on the conductor's podium. After graduation in high school in 2011, he began his classical singing studies with Thilo Dahlmann at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Köln, which he finished in summer 2016 with the final mark 1.0.
In addition to his concerts in Germany, concert tours have taken Daniel Tilch across Europe, Russia and Israel. In 2012 he appeared as a soloist in the radio production of Cavalieri's sacred opera Rappresentation di Anima et di Corpo and has already participated in some CD productions. In 2013, he appeared as a soloist in a concert with Barbra Streisand at the Lanxess Arena in Cologne. He is a member of the ensemble of the Literaturoper Köln, where he debuted in 2013 in the lead role in the premiere of America based on a novel by Franz Kafka. In 2017, he sang and played the Evangelist in a modern ballet version of J.S. Bach's Matthäus-Passion (BWV 244), at the Opernhaus Wuppertal and at the Jerusalem Theatre, among others. Since 2016 he studies in the class of Professor Andreas Karasiak at the Musikhochschule Mainz. He is a member of Chorus Musicus Köln (Director: Christoph Spering). |
