The Russian mezzo-soprano, Pelageya Tikhonova [Russian: Тихонова Пелагея], graduated from the Music Pedagogical School (2013) and the Russian State Institute of Performing Arts (2019, course of Honored Artist of Russia A.B. Isakov). She is Laureate of the XIII International Vocal Competition-Festival “Singing Mask” named after. Andrei Petrova (St. Petersburg, 2018, 1st Prize), diploma winner of the VI International Youth Competition of Pianists and Vocalists named after. F. Chopin.
At the Educational Theater "On Mokhovaya" Pelageya Tikhonova participated in the show program We are from the musical, performed roles in the plays Crazy Jourdain by M. Bulgakov (Marquise Dorimena), Dulcinea Toboska by A. Volodin (Donna Teresa), Grooms by based on the plays of N. Gogol (matchmaker Thekla). In 2018-2019 she worked at the Petersburg Concert.
Since 2019, Pelageya Tikhonova has been a soloist of the St. Petersburg children's musical theater "Through the Looking Glass", on the stage of which she has performed in such roles as the Third Lady in W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte, Laura in P. Tchaikovsky's Iolanta, Emilia in G. Verdi's Otello, Kubyshka in V. Baskin's The Adventures of Dunno, Nif-Nif in D. Zhuchenko's The Three Little Pigs, Frog in A. Bespalova's Teremok, Mit-su in A. Bespalova's White Fang. She has also participated in the following productions: E. Podgaits' Alice Through the Looking Glass, I. Rogalev's Finist the Clear Falcon, Georges Bizet's Carmen, G. Puccini's Madama Butterfly, I. Kalman's Circus Princess, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's The Snow Maiden, S. Pleshak's Old Man Hottabych by and others.
Since 2022, Pelageya Tikhonova has also been working at the State Philharmonic for Children and Youth. She currently lives in Saint Petersburg, Russia. |
