The American mezzo-soprano, Erin Roth Thomas, obtained both her Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance (2000-2005) and her Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance (2005-2007) from Stephen F. Austin State University.
Erin Roth Thomas regularly performs as a featured soloist in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, singing a vast repertoire that spans from J.S. Bach’s Magnificat (BWV 243) to Richard Danielpour’s An American Requiem. On stage, she has worked with Opéra Louisiane, Des Moines Metro Opera, and Painted Sky Opera, performing roles that include Pitti-Sing in The Mikado (Regal Opera, 2014) Meg Page in Falstaff (Diversitá Opera, 2018), Prince Orlofsky in Die Fledermaus (Opéra Louisiane, 2014), The Mother in Amahl and the Night Visitors (LLUMC, 2020), and Hansel in Engelbert Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel (Diversitá Opera, 2019)

Erin Thomas sings with many DFW churches, providing music for worship, weddings, and funerals. She sang with Verdigris Ensemble (since January 2018) and Lovers Lane United Methodist Church (May 2011-July 2020). She currently serves as Staff Singer at Christ Church Plano (since May 2020). She is also singer in Incarnatus Choir (since March 2019), Vigil Schola Cantorum Quartet (since July 2019), Orpheus Chamber Singers (since September 2015), Dallas Bach Society (since December 2018), Dallas Chamber Choir (since July 2017), Highland Park Chorale (since May 2014).
Erin Thomas is looking forward to the 2022-2023 season, where she is engaged to sing with Music in the Great North Woods, American Baroque Opera Company, Plano Symphony Orchestra, Incarnatus, Orpheus Chamber Singers, Fort Worth Chorale, and Dallas Bach Society. She married Chad Thomas on December 3, 2011; she now lives in the Dallas area with her husband, and their dog, Reggie. |
