The German tenor and church musician, Daniel Tepper, was born in Herrenberg and grew up in Holzgerlingen and Calw. He graduated from high school there. At the age of 6, he received piano lessons and vocal training with the Aurelius Sängerknaben Calw. He has won several national prizes at “Jugend musiziert”. At the age of 10, he took oboe lessons and at the age of 13, he began organ lessons. While still at school, he was a junior student at the Evangelische Hochschule für Kirchenmusik Tübingen. He studied church music there and has now completed his compulsory internship. In Bad Cannstatt, he got to know all the ensembles and worked with them all, sang in the Bachchor and held rehearsals in the Kammerchor Cantus. He traveled with the Bachchor: the highlight, he says, was in China. He is now looking forward to the big concert in aid of the organ renovation, which has not been overhauled for a long time, and will do a few rehearsals beforehand. The church musician, who plays the piano and harpsichord, enjoys singing and directing choirs, also plays the trombone. Since October 2016, he is Bezirkskantor at Martinskantorat Sindelfingen. As a tenor singer, he is a member of the Vocalensemble Rastatt (Director: Holger Speck). He currently lives in Sindelfingen, Germany. |
