The American tenor singer, conductor, teacher, diction coach, voiceover artist, Aram Tchobanian, studied at The Ohio State University and Franz-Schubert-Institut, Baden-bei-Wien, Austria.
With performances in 27 languages throughout the USA and Europe, Aram Tchobanian has premiered numerous works by Beat Furrer, Yoav Gal, Thomas Pasatieri, and Salvatore Sciarrino, among many others. Recent performances include the world premiere of a song cycle by Alma Hamilton on a solo recital of songs of women composers at Lincoln Center, the American premiere of an opera by Pacini, and a concert honoring Frank Sinatra, also at Lincoln Center. Recordings include four operas, an oratorio, and 14 audiobooks. He was President of Joy In Singing, a non-profit organization with a nearly 60-year history of promoting the careers of singers through the art of the song recital. He currently lives in Brooklyn, New York. |
