The Swedish baritone, Jesper Taube, began his musical training at the Adolf Fredrik Music School, followed by studies at the Operastudio 67, Kulturama and at the University College of Opera of Stockholm. He studied Lieder singing with Gundula Janowitz.
Currently Jesper Taube is a member of the Royal Opera of Stockholm. His principal roles with the opera: Claudio (Béatrice et Bénédicte, E.U.O in Baden-Baden), Dapertutto (Les Contes d'Hoffmann) in Stockholm, Silvio (Pagliacci) in Malmö, Figaro (Il Barbiere di Siviglia) in Stockholm, Valentin (Faust) at the Opéra de Massy, Don Carlos and La Bohême in Stockholm. In 2002-2003 season, he took part in the productions of Faust and Nozze di Figaro in Florida Grand Opera of Miami.
With Syrinx Concerts Jesper Taube sang J.S. Bach's Cantata BWV 82 Ich habe genug and Five Mystical Songs by Ralph Vaughan Williams. |
