The Danish-Swedish soprano, Anna Carina Sundstedt, studied with John Guttmann, Lars Waage and Tonny Landy in Copenhagen, as well as studies and master's courses with Patricia McCaffrey, Alessandra Althoff, Virginia Zeani Rossi Lemeni, Helmut Deutsch, Rudolf Jansen and Richard Miller, among others.
Anna Carina Sundstedt has cperformed as a soloist at home and abroad:
Norway: Grieg romances and Gabriel Fauré's Requiem with the Philharmonic Orchestra, Collegium Musicum, in Bergen; Opera in Troldhaugen (Edvard Grieg Museum); Soloist in Benjamin Britten's Rejoice in the Lamb with the then Kor Vest, now Griegkoret.
Sweden: Oratorio and church concerts in Lund, Malmö, Moheda, Västerås and Östersund - and as a soloist at the Koster Festival.
Austria: Concert at the Mozarteum in Salzburg.
Denmark: Soloist in Per Nørgård's Symphony No. 3 with the Danish Radio Symphony Orchestra conducted by Thomas Dausgaard and soloist in the performance of Sven-David Sandström's Jesus, Meine Freude with the DR VokalEnsemblet at Trinitatis Kirke (and Malmö Koncerthus).
She has been soloist in a number of sacred works and oratorios such as the George Frideric Handel' Messiah, W.A. Mozart's Requiem and J.S. Bach's Matthäus-Passion (BWV 244) with musicians from the Royal Danish Orchestra and Danish Radio Symphony Orchestra and with Copenhagen Soloists; Charpentier's Messe de Minuit with Ensemble 1700, Orff's Carmina Burana with Filharmonia Zielonogórska and Giovanni Battista Pergolesi's Stabat Mater, Romans Svenska Mässan, Antonio Vivaldi's Magnificat and Haydn's Grosse Organ Mass with various Danish chamber orchestras.
In 2004, Anna Carina Sundstedt covered as Konstanze in W.A. Mozart's Die Entführung aus dem Serail at Den Fynske Opera. In 2005, she made her soloist debut as Nedda & Columbine in I Pagliacci (Bajadser) with Opera i Provinsen. From from 2006 to 2011, she performed roles like Queen of the Night, Micäela, Euridice, Marzellina in L.v. Beethoven's Fidelio and Rosina, among others, at the Fynske Opera, Hofteatret in Copenhagen and concert performances with Filharmonia Zielonogórska conducted by Maestro Czeslaw Grabowski. In 2012, she sang Oasis in Charpentier's fun opera L'Etoile at Den Nye Opera in Bergen conducted by Maestro Emmanuel Plasson. In 2013, she was Najade in concert performance of Ariadne with DR Underholdningsorkestret conducted by Maestro Tito Muñoz. In 2013, she was Nymph in Proserpin by Kraus with Baroksolisterne at Potsdamer Festspiele conducted by Maestro Olof Boman. In 2015, she sang 1. Girl in CD recording Carl Nielsen's Maskerade with Danish Radio Symphony Orchestra conducted by Maestro Michael Schønwandt. In 2015, she performed The Queen of the Night and Papagena in the W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte with Slotsopera at Valdemar Slot with instrumental ensemble Anne Barslev conducted by Jonas Nørregård.
Anna Carina Sundstedt has given Lied and romance concerts in a wide range of churches and concert venues - repertoire, among others: Strauss' Brentano-lieder, Wolf Italienisches Liederbuch, Robert Schumann's Frauenliebe und Leben, Peterson-Berger's 4 visor in the folkton, Peterson-Berger's Marits Visor, Grieg's Haugesuka, W.A. Mozart's Concert Arias and Debussy's Fetes Galantes.
In addition to the solo work, Anna Carina Sundstedt is also associated with DR Koncertkoret, DR VokalEnsemblet, Det Kongelige Operakor and Copenhagen Soloists (Director: Jonathan Ofir).
She is recipient of arbejds- og rejselegater fra Solistforeningen af 1921, Dansk Solist Forbund, DR Venneforeningen og Dansk KorForbund. She is also EHFA certified Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer from Fitness Institute (Class of 2018). |
