The Swiss mezzo-soprano/conntralto, Cassandre Stornetta, began, asfter graduating from high school, her training at the Konservatorium in Lausanne (HEMU) in Brigitte Balleys' class (2010-2013). After completing her Bachelor of Arts in Singing in 2013, she also graduated there with a Master of Performance in June 2015. She obtained her second Master's degree at the Zücher Hochschule der Kunste (ZHdK) in Yvonne Naef's class (2015-2017). Participation in master-classes with artists such as Brigitte Fassbaender, Helmuth Deutsch, Margreet Honig, Nadine Denize, Luisa Castellani, Janet Perry and Martin Katz enriched her training.
Participation in numerous different projects have also expanded Cassandre Stornetta's musical work, for example under the direction of Facundo Agudin, Alexander Mayer and Benjamin Levy. She appears regularly as a soloist in concerts of the Tribunes Baroques conducted by Gabriel Wolfer, as well as in productions of the Opera Louise conducted by Jerôme Kuhn. She has sung at the Opéra de Lausanne; at the Free Opera Company in Zürich (August-October 2018); and at NOF - Nouvel Opéra Fribourg - Neue Oper Freiburg (since October 2015).
Cassandre Stornetta was presented as a young artist in the program "Des masters sur les ondes" on the radio station Espace 2, and she was also portrayed on Swiss radio and television (SRF) in a report about the life of young artists in Switzerland. In the spring of 2016, she was awarded the prize of the 2016 Migros Culture Percentage Singing Competition. She currently lives in Zürich, Switzerland. |
