The French mezzo-soprano, Blandine Staskiewicz, is a graduate of a first prize for singing at the Conservatoire National de Région de Rennes. In 1997 she joined the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris in the class of Peggy Bouveret. She received an Award of singing in 2001, and an advanced diploma in 2003.
Blandine Staskiewicz made he debut in 2003 in the role of Alisa (Lucia di Lammermoor) at Sceaux and Dorabella (Cosi fan tutte) at the Festival de Touraine. In 2002-2003 season, she participated in the European tour "Le Jardin des Voix" with Les Arts Florissants under the baton of William Christie. She was invited to the Händel Festival Halle (Germany) and to the Pablo Casals Festival in Prades. In 2003-2004, she sang the title role in Georg Frideric Handel's Athalia, conducted by Paul McCreesh at the Festival d’Ambronay, Siebel (Faust) at the Esplanade de Saint-Étienne, Mazet (La Colombe by Charles Gounod) at the Opéra de Montpellier and Dorabella (Cosi fan tutte) in a nation tour tour with the Opéra Eclaté. In 2004-2005, she performed Olga (La Grande-Duchesse by Gérolstein) at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, Annius (La Clemenza di Tito) at the Opéra de Metz, the title role in Callirhoé de Destouches under the baton of Hervé Nicquet at the Festival de Beaune. |
